Description
  • The magnetization and specific heat of a NdRhSn single crystal were measured as functions of temperature and magnetic field applied along the crystallographic a- and c-axes. Strong uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy was observed with the c-axis as easy magnetization direction. The results of ab initio calculations of the NdRhSn electronic structure confirmed that besides the stable Nd magnetic moment only a very small magnetic moment of at most 0.1 Bohr magnetons is induced at the Rh site due to the polarized Rh 4d-electron states hybridizing with the Nd 5d-electron states

  • Magnetizace a specifické teplo monokrystalu NdRhSn byly měřeny jako funkce teploty a magnetického pole aplikovaného podél krystalografických os a a c. Byla pozorována výrazná magnetokrystalová anizotropie s osou c jako u osou snadné magnetizace. Výsledky ab-initio výpočtů elektronové struktury NdRhSn potvrdily, že kromě stabilního magnetického momentu Nd je indukován v Rh polohách velmi malý magnetický moment kolem 0.1 Bohrova magnetonu v důsledku polarizovaných 4d elektronů Rh hybridizovaných s elektronovými 5d stavy Nd (cs)
