| - Hydroxyapatit je bioaktivní keramika, která je podobná minerálnímu složení přírodní kosti. Tento materiál nevykazuje vhodné mechanické vlastnosti pro aplikace s bulkovým materiálem, ale je vhodný pro pokrytí kovových ortopedických a dentálních implantátů. Příspěvek podává přehled o posledních úspěších s laserovou depozicí tenkých vrstev hydroxyapatitu pro lékařské a dentální aplikace. Jsou popsány strukturální, mechanické a biologické vlastnosti tenkých vrstev hydroxyapatitu. Jsou diskutovány budoucí možné směry ve vývoji depozice tenkých vrstev hydroxyapatitu laserovou depozicí. - Hydroxyapatite is a bioactive ceramic material that mimics the mineral composition of natural bone. This material does not possess acceptable mechanical properties for use as a bulk biomaterial; however, it does demonstrate significant potential for use as a coating on metallic orthopaedic and dental prostheses. This paper reviews recent developments involving pulsed laser deposition of hydroxyapatite thin films for medical and detal applications. The structural, mechanical, and biological properties of hydroxyapatite thin films are described. In addition, future directions in pulsed laser deposition of hydroxyapatite thin films are discussed.
