  • A summary of ion generation experiments at both low (109W/cm2) and high (1016W/cm2) laser intensities, using Nd:YAG and iodine laser, as well as the properties of the ions produced. The existence of two production mechanisms for highly charged ions with charge states above z=50+ has been demonstrated by changing the minimum focus position with regard to the target surface (by changing the interaction length with pre-formed plasma for relativistic self-focusing). Existence dvou mechanismů produkce vysoce nabitých iontů s nábojovým číslem vyšším než z = 50+ je demonstrována změnou polohy minima laserového fokusu vzhledem k povrchu terčíku (změnou interakční délky laserového pulsu s předem vytvořeným plazmatem pro relativistickou samofokusaci). Jsou zmíněny možné aplikace laserových iontových zdrojů. (cs)
