  • Generování iontů s vysokým náboji a MeV energiemi vyžaduje velmi intenzivní laserové pulsy. Při interakci laserového záření o intenzitě nad ~1x101 4 W/cm2 s generovaným plasmatem se mohou vytvořit podmínky pro vznik nelineárních procesů, např. ponderomotivních nebo relativistických samofokusujících procesů. Tak jsou generovány ionty s vysokými náboji a energiemi, než by byly generovány bez přítomnosti těchto nelineárních interakcí (cs)
