  • The soft x-ray beam of the Ne-like Zn laser driven by Prague Asterix Laser System (PALS) was focused to a surface of poly(methyl methacrylate) sample, causing efficient ablation of irradiated material. To our best knowledge, it is the first observation of material ablation induced by laser working in the soft x-ray region, i.e. .lambda. < 30 nm
