  • A high-quality smart filtr for terahertz range with relative tunability reaching 20% has been demonstrated. The filtr is based on a narrow transmission band, which originated from a defect mode that appears due to insertion of a single crystal of KTaO3 into otherwisw periode one-dimensional photonic crystal. Frequensies of defect modes are controlled by the refractive index of the defect: their high tunability is achived by the strong temperature dependence of the dielectric properties of KTaO3

  • Práce popisuje a charakterizuje spektrální filtr pro terahertzovou oblast s 20% laditelnosti. Jeho principem je vznik úzkého transmisního pásu (defektní hladiny) dosažený vložením tenkého monokrystalu KTaO3 do periodické jednorozměrné fotonické struktury. Frekvence defektní hladiny je určena indexem lomu krystalu a její laditelnost je umožněna silnou teplotní závislostí dielektrických vlastností KTaO3 (cs)
