Description	In the past years therefore assessment of Janáček´s collecting activity transformed in terms of quality as well as quantity. Today´s data speak about six hundred records and new acquisitions come from nearly all Moravian ethnographic regions and also from Silesia and Slovakia. The present study of all those materials much more focuses on analysis of all notes and comments accompanying the actual records of folksongs and dances, found in the greatest numbers in the field manuscripts. The later copies and printed versions already show editing and stylistic adaptations including certain impoverishment of the information value both on the record level and on the context level.
