  • Data presented in this study show that aggregation of GPI-anchored proteins induces exposure of the phosphatidylserine on the cell surface by a distinct mechanism of nonapoptotic signaling. Such mechanism could contribute to signaling in response to pathogens and other external activators and/or initiation of other functions associated with phosphatidylserine externalization.

  • Výsledky této studie ukazují, že agregace GPI-zakotvených proteinů indukuje expresi phosphatidylserinu na buněčném povrchu novým mechanismem neapoptotického signalizování. Tento mechanismus by mohl přispět k signalizování v odpovědi na patogeny a další externí aktivátory anebo pro zahájení dalších funkcí spojených s externalizací phosphatidylserinu. (cs)
