| - V této kapitole jsem vybraly tři země (Českou republiku, maďarsko a Slovinsko) jako základ srovnání pro zkoumání podobnosti a rozdílnosti v postsocialistických zemích v období po transformaci a vstupu do EU (2000 – 2005). Během a po transformačním období trhu práce docházelo k nárůstu konzervativních postojů k genderovým rolím v soukromém i veřejném/politickém životě a ženy ztratily některá svá práva a pozice (např. jistotu zaměstnání a služby péče o děti), která získaly během období státního socialismu. Mezi politikami zaměstnanosti a rodinnými politikami těchto zemí jsou velké rozdíly a specifická situace týkající se genderové rovnosti na trzích práce zkoumaných zemích závisí na těchto hlavních faktorech: 1. vývoj genderové struktury trhů práce, 2. legislativní rámec politik zaměstnanosti a 3. opatření pro kombinaci pracovního a rodinného života. - In this paper we have selected three countries (Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia) as the basis of comparison in order to examine similarities and differences across the post socialist countries in the period after the transformation and around the EU accession (2000 – 2005). We argue that during and after the transformation period towards market economy there have been growing conservative attitudes towards gender roles in both the private and public/political life and women lost some of the rights and positions (e.g. job security and child care services) gained during the state-socialist era. There are significant differences between the countries in their employment and family policies and the specific situations regarding gender equality at the labour markets of the investigated countries depend on the following main factors: 1. development of the gender structure of the labour markets; 2. legislative framework and employment policies and 3. work/life balance arrangements. - Für diese Kapitel haben wir Tschechien, Ungarn und Slowenien als Vergleichsgrundlage ausgewählt, um Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede in postsozialistischen Ländern (nach dem Umbruch und dem EU-Beitritt; 2000 - 2005) näher zu untersuchen. Während und nach der Umstellung auf die Markwirtschaft gewannen konservative Einstellungen bezüglich der Geschlechterrollen sowohl im privaten als auch öffentlichen/politischen Leben stärkeren Einfluss und Frauen einige, während der sozialistischen Ära gewonnenen Rechte und Positionen verloren haben. Zwischen den Ländern gibt es auch beträchtliche Unterschiede bezüglich der Beschäftigungs- und Familienpolitik. Die individuellen Situationen der Länder bezüglich der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter auf dem Arbeitsmarkt auf folgende Hauptfaktoren zurückzuführen sind: 1. Entwicklung der Geschlechterstruktur der Arbeitsmärkte; 2. gesetzliche Rahmenbedingungen und Beschäftigungspolitik und 3. Regelungen für die Vereinbarkeit von Familien- und Berufsleben.
