Description	Der Beitrag ist auf die Analyse der gegenwärtigen demographischen Veränderungen in Innerstädten den mährischen Großstädten Brno und Ostrava nach Sieldungsgrundeinheiten abgezielt. Es war eine Begrenzung den Innenstädten und Vergleichung ihren demographischen Charakteristiken mit den städtischen Durchschnitten gemacht auf Grund den Volkszahlungen 1991 und 2001. Die Aufmerksamkeit war auch der Entwicklung der Bildungsstruktur der Bevölkerung gewidmet. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen, dass die Innenstädte altern, während die jüngste Bevölkerung ist in neueren Großwohnsiedlungen und in den Randteilen, wohin die Suburbanisierung führt, da. Ostrava hat bessere demographische Charakteristiken als Brno auf Grund der massenhaften Nachkriegszuwanderung den Bearbeitern in die Industrie. Nach der Bildungsstruktur (und demnach auch vom sozialen Gesichtspunkt) teilen sich die Innenstädte auf bessere und schlechtere Teile – ähnlich wie die Restterritorien den Großstädten. The paper is focused on an analysis of recent demographic changes in the core parts of the Moravian metropolitan cities Brno and Ostrava (Czech Republic). This small-scale socio-spatial analysis is based upon the smallest spatial units (the so-called primary residential units). The inner cities as the main focus of the research were delimited and selected demographic characteristics were compared with the entire cities by using census data from 1991 and 2001. Attention is also paid to the development of the population’s qualification structure. The results demonstrate that the inner cities are ageing while the youngest population lives in the housing estates and in peripheral parts where suburbanisation proceeds too. (en)
