Description
Intenzita okusu v následujícím roce signifikantně poklesla v zimním i letním období. Jednotlivé dřeviny křovinného patra byly v obou letech a v průběhu sledovaných období okusovány s různou intenzitou. Nejvíce preferovaným druhem byl dub a nejméně preferovaným hloh. Nejvyšší obsah všech analyzovaných chemických složek potravy byl zjištěn u dubu, nejvíce okusované dřeviny v průběhu vegetačního období. NIRS analýzy naopak ukázaly, že druhá nejvíce okusovaná dřevina jasan obsahovala nejméně tuků a vlákniny. (cs)
  • Browsing impact of deer can have a substantial influence on species composition and abundance of shrub layer. Ungulates often prefer some woody plants to others. The attractiveness of single plant species to animals is related to several factors as abundance and nutritional value, especially levels of nitrogen and fibre. The total browsing intensity in 2002 was during winter season 37.5 % and during summer season 25.4 %. The browsing intensity in next year decreased significantly both in winter and summer season. Single woody plant species of shrub layer were browsed with different intensity during both years as well as seasons of the study. The most preferred species was oak and the least preferred was hawthorn. The highest average volume of all three analysed components was found in oak, the most browsed species, during vegetation period. On the other hand, the NIRS analyses showed that the second least browsed species, ash, contained the lowest level of lipids and fibres.
