Description	Kniha je věnována různým aspektům vědeckého výzkumu etnické identity a přináší nové myšlenky, které na problém nazírají z hlediska rozličných metodologických perspektiv. Jsou zde pojednány otázky výpovědní hodnoty historických i archeologických pramenů z období, které zahrnuje zánik Římské říše až po vynoření kmene Langobardů na středním Dunaji. Svazek obsahuje výsledky výzkumu autorů z Německa, Francie, Ruska, Polska, Maďarska, Slovenska a ČR. (cs) Das Buch ist gewidmet verschiedenen Aspekten der Forschung der ethnischen und kulturellen Identitäten und präsentiert neue Ideen, die das Problem von eigenen methodologischen Perspektiven betrachten. Es sind hier die Fragen der Aussagekraft der historischen und archäologischen Quellen aus der Zeitspanne vom Untergang des römischen Imperiums bis zu der Erscheinung der Langobarden im Mitteldonauraum diskutiert. Der Band fasst die Ergebnisse der Forschung von Authoren aus Deutschland, Frankreich, Ungarn, Russland, Polen, Slowakei und ČR um. The book is dealing with various apsects of research on ethnic and cultural identity and presents new ideas looking this topic from individual methodological perspectives. Discussing the problems of historical and archaeological evidence it covers the period from the fall of the Roman Empire through to the Langobard occupation of the Danubian area. This volume includes the results of the recent research untertaken by scholars from Germany, France, Hungary, Russia, Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic. (en)
