  • Dedičná porucha metabolizmu esenciálnej aminokyseliny fenylalanínu (Phe) fenylketonuria, sposobená mutáciou génu pre enzým fenylalanínhydroxyláza (PAH), ktorý zodpovedá za hydroxiláciu Phe na aminokyselinu tyrozín (Tyr), je vážna a nevyliečiteľná choroba. Jej liečba spočíva v pravidelnom monitorovaní hladiny Phe v krvi a prísnej diéte bez Phe s pridaním chýbajúcich produktovhydorxylácie.
  • Phenyleketonuria treatment requires to determine concentration levels of amino acids phenylalanine and tyrosine in patients blood on a regular basis. We describe an investigation in a new concentration measuring method, which is based on a fluorescence properties of the amino acids in ultraviolet region and a pulsed laser operating at 266nm. The measurements of the concetration of a water solution lead us to conclusion of photo induced degradation of the amino acids by the UV radiation. (en)
