Description
| - We respond to present tredns in clinical research of the thoracic vessels blood circulation and contractility where the bioelectrical impedance plethysmography belongs to important non-invasive techniques. We investigated details of the thoracic bioelectrical impedance (TEB) measurement, because values detected by that method can be distorted, except others, by phenomena: stability of the measuring constant harmonic current permeating through the tested tissue and parasitic capacitance of electrode cables. The result of our effort led to development of a new TEB monitor setup based on the digital signal processor technology. In the paper, we explain the principle of technique with synchronous sampling detection of measured signals, dual frequency direct digital synthesizer, and a set of supporting circuits. We present TEB signal record equipped by simultaneous measurement of the continuous blood pressure and ECG.
