Description	Jsou analyzovány základní poškozující mechanizmy materiálů podrobených cyklickému namáhání. Poškození materiálů při cyklickém zatěžování konstantními i proměnnými amplitudami, při multiaxiálním namáhání i s uvážením vlivu vrubů je kvantifikováno na základě řady koncepcí uplatňovaných v posledních letech. Jsou uvedeny principy moderních přístupů pro odhad a předpověď únavové životnosti materiálů a zejména svarových spojů. (cs) The basic damage mechanisms of materials subjected to cyclic loading are analyzed. Damage of materials subjected to constant as well as to variable amplitude cycling and to multi-axial loading with the effect of notches, is quantified on the basis of a number of concepts applied in recent years. The principles of state-of-the-art approaches for estimation and prediction of fatigue life of materials, in particular welded joints, are stated.
