Description
| - The magnetic properties of Fe3C nanopowders prepared by laser pyrolysis (Sample A) and reduction and carburization of a nanocrystalline iron oxide (Sample B) are investigated. Fe3C was recognized as the solely ferromagnetic phase with the crystallite mean size 20 and 12 nm for the Sample A and B, respectively. The nanopowders exhibit ferromagnetic behavior with a blurred transition to paramagnetic state nearby the Curie temperature of coarse grained Fe3C. This effect is explained by a grain size distribution and the influence of the surface/interface regions of the nanoparticles.

- Studujeme magnetické vlastnosti Fe3C nanoprášků připravených laserovou pyrolýzou (vzorek A) a redukcí a nauhličením nanokrystalického oxidu železa (vzorek B). Fe3C byl identifikován jako jediná feromagnetická fáze se střední velikostí krystalitů 20 nm (vzorek A) a 12 nm (vzorek B). Nanoprášky vykazují ferromagnetické chování s neostrým přechodem do paramagnetického stavu v blízkosti Curieho teploty hrubozrnného Fe3C. Tento efekt zdůvodňujeme jednak distribucí velikosti zrn ale také vlastnostmi povrchů a rozhranní nanočástic. (cs)
