Description
| - Joints of different materials have many applications in structural engineering and microelectronics. In the present contribution the joint is modeled as a bi-material wedge. The singular character of the stress field near the wedge tip is investigated. Depending on the geometry of the wedge and the selection of the materials, the stress field can have two singularities. Correspondingly the singular stress field is expressed as a sum of two singular terms with different stress singularity exponents. It is shown that to study the problem of a crack onset at the wedge, both two terms have to be taken into account. First, the angle of the direction of potential crack initiation is determined. Then a criterion for crack nucleation and propagation in the selected direction is formulated

- Spojení různých materiálů má mnoho aplikací v konstrukčním inženýrství a mikroelektronice. V tomto příspěvku je spojení materiálů modelováno jako bi-materiálový vrub. Je sledován singulární charakter pole napětí v blízkosti jeho vrcholu. V závislosti na geometrii a použitých materiálech, pole napětí může mít obecně dva singulární členy. Je ukázáno, že ke studiu iniciace trhliny z vrubu je nutné brát v úvahu oba singulární členy. Nejprve je určen směr iniciace trhliny. Poté je formulováno kriterium iniciace trhliny do jedné z materiálových oblastí. (cs)
