Description	The results related to oxidation of Fe and (Fe-C-Cr-Mn-Ni-Si) steels in ambient air at temperatures from 940 to 1100 C for 180-910 min are reported in this paper. It is possible to describe the course of steel oxidation as well as Fe-oxidation by the use of parabolic law. The coefficients kp of the parabolic law depend in both cases, steels and Fe, on temperature T and, moreover, in the case of steels, on the chemical composition of the steels and on the phase transformations occurring in the steels in the course of oxidation anneal. The coefficients kp(st) can be expressed by the coefficient kp(.gamma.Fe), concentrations Ni of the alloying elements in the steels and oxidation parameters .alpha. corresponding to the individual alloying elements. The results of the measurements of the growth of relative weight .DELTA.w/w, length .DELTA.L/L and diameter .DELTA..fi./.fi. are added to the results related to the measurements of the thickness l of the scale layers. (en) V daném příspěvku jsou uvedeny výsledky studia počátečního stadia oxidace Fe a (Fe-C-Cr-Mn-Ni-Si) ocelí žíhaných na vzduchu při teplotách 940 až 1100 C v časovém intervalu 180 až 910 min. Průběh oxidace ocelí je možno popsat podobně jako průběh oxidace Fe parabolickým zákonem. Koeficienty kp parabolického růstu okujových vrstev na povrchu Fe i ocelí závisí na teplotě, na chemickém složení ocelí a na fázových transformacích, které probíhají v ocelích v průběhu oxidačních ohřevů. Koeficienty parabolického růstu okujových vrstev tlouštky l na povrchu oceli kp(st) jsou vyjádřeny pomocí koeficientu kp(.gamma.Fe), pomocí koncentrací Ni legujících prvků v ocelích a pomocí oxidačních parametrů .alpha. příslušejících jednotlivým legujícím prvkům. K měření růstu okujových vrstev na povrchu ocelí jsou připojena měření růstu relativní hmotnosti .DELTA.w/w, délky .DELTA.L/L a průměru .DELTA..fi./.fi. oxidovaných vzorků. Růst těchto veličin, které jsou úměrné tlouštce l okujových vrstev, se rovněž řídí parabolický
