Description	A combined study of morphology, stem anatomy and DNA sequencing data was used to identify a putative Potamogeton hybrid from a river in NE Poland. The investigated plants were identified as P. subobtusus Hagstr., a hybrid between P. alpinus Balb. and P. nodosus Poir. The new site is the only one besides the type locality in North America, and the studied Polish population is the only extant in the world.
