Description
  • Růstové charakteristiky dvou druhů ponořených vodních masožravých rostlin, stenotopní Aldrovanda vesiculosa a eurytopní Utricularia australis, byly sledovány v 10/11-denním terénním růstovém pokuse ve třech silonových ohrádkách ve dvou umělých lokalitách aldrovandky na Třeboňsku v ČR. Růst aldrovandky byl nejrychlejší na mezo-eutrofním stanovišti (doba zdvojení biomasy T2 8,4-10,7 d, průměrný přírůstek nových listových přeslenů 0,96 př.d-1) a pomalejší na oligo-mezotrofním stanovišti. Bublinatka rostla stejně rychle na obou stanovištích (T2 19.8-33.2 d nebo 9.1-16.8 d, přírůstek přeslenů 3.1 nebo 2.7 př.d-1). Kompetičně slabší aldrovandka tedy může růst rychleji během vrcholu růstové sezóny než bublinatka vzhledem k častému větvení a následnému rychlému růstu a oddělování dceřinných prýtů. (cs)
  • Growth characteristics of two species of submerged carnivorous plants, the stenotopic Aldrovanda vesiculosa and the eurytopic Utricularia australis, were investigated in a 10/11-day field growth experiment within three nylon enclosures at two artificial Aldrovanda sites in Třeboň region, Czech Republic. Growth of Aldrovanda was best at a meso-eutrophic site (biomass doubling time, T2, 8.4-10.7 d, mean growth of new leaf whorls 0.96 whorls.d-1) and slower at an oligo-mesotrophic site. Growth of Utricularia was similar at both sites (T2 19.8-33.2 d or 9.1-16.8 d, growth of whorls 3.1 or 2.7 whorls.d-1). Thus, Aldrovanda, although usually considered as competitively weaker, can grow faster during the growing season peak than Utricularia due to frequent branching and the subsequent rapid growth and separation of daughter shoots.
