Description
  • The first proven data on natural hybridization in the genus Hieracium s.str. are presented. Hybrid plants (H. xkrasanii) between the diploids Hieracium alpinum and H. transsilvanicum were found in the Ukrainian and Romanian Eastern Carpathians. Plants are diploid, produce fertile pollen grains, but are completely seed sterile. Sequencing and PCR-RFLP analyses of the trnT-trnL intergenic spacer revealed that all hybrid plants had the H. transsilvanicum chloroplast DNA haplotype.

  • V ukrajinských a rumunských Karpatech byly nalezeny hybridní rostliny (H. xkrasanii) pocházející z křížení mezi diploidními sexuálními druhy Hieracium alpinum a H. transsilvanicum; jde o první experimentálně ověřený údaj o hybridizaci v rodu Hiracium s.str. Rostliny jsou diploidní, vytvářejí vitální pyl, ale netvoří semena. Sekvenování a PCR-RFLP nekódujícího úseku trnT-trnL prokázalo, že hybridní rostliny mají stejný chloroplastový haplotyp jako H. transsilvanicum (tj. H. transsilvanicum bylo mateřskou rostlinou). (cs)
