Description	K určení identity sterilních rostlin byla použita kombinace tří metod: morfologie, anatomie lodyhy a analýza isozymů. Všechny metody potvrdily hybridní původ rostlin, které vznikly křížením druhů Potamogeton natans a P. nodosus. Studovaný hybrid je zcela sterilní a na své současné lokality se v minulosti rozšířil prostřednictvím vegetativního rozšiřování. A detailed morphological examination proved that the putative hybrid is clearly intermediate between Potamogeton natans and P. nodosus.
