Description	Differences in the value of the mitotic index (MI) indicated an effect of the substrates on the mitotic cycle of vascular plants. No increase in the number of chromosomal aberrations was observed, due to low counts of micronuclei in interphase cells. Clastogenic effect of the substrate on the genome of the meristem cells at both chromosomal and genomic levels was not confirmed. On the other hand, the impact of the substrate on the dynamics of cell division is beyond any doubt.
