Description	Miniaturní prase je v současné době stále častěji využíváno jako jedinečný biomedicínský model. I když chov miniaturního prasete je finančně, časově i prostorově náročný, jeho význam jako pokusného zvířete narůstá. Přístup k cévnímu - žilnímu řečišti během pokusu na zvířeti je jedním z limitujících faktorů jeho úspěšnosti. Zajištěním spolehlivého a bezpečného žilního vstupu na delší dobu umožní pokusným zvířatům aplikovat různé injekční roztoky, odebírat vzorky smíšené žilní krve k diagnostickým účelům. Možnou metodou zpřístupnění centrálního žilního systému u miniaturního prasete je permanentní katetrizace v. jugularis externa. (cs) Miniature pig is currently often used as a unique model in biomedicine. The significance of the minipig, as an experimental animal, is constantly increasing, even though breeding minipigs is time and space consuming and costly process. Access to blood-vessel system represents an essential factor limiting success of a surgical experiment. Provision of a safe and reliable entry to venous system enables application of injection solutions to experimental animals, collection of blood samples for diagnostics purposes. An alternative to the peripheral access to venous system is a permanent catheterization of v. jugularis externa. Miniature pig is currently often used as a unique model in biomedicine.
