| Description
| - Understanding of apoptotic mechanisms involved in tissue shaping is of particular interest due to possible targeted modulation of development of organ structures such as teeth with regards to basic research and future applications in molecular medicine. Research of Fas mediated apoptosis has been focused particularly on cell death in the immune system and related disorders due to broad medical consequences. However, CD 95 mediated apoptosis is also involved in embryogenesis of many organs as the kidney, the lung, the intestine and tissue networks such as the nervous system. This review briefly summarizes the current knowledge of CD 95 mediated apoptosis in embryogenesis with possible implication in tooth development. CD 95 receptor and CD 95 ligand were found at early stages of tooth development. The data suggest some positive correlations with dental apoptosis distribution, particularly in the primary enamel knot where apoptosis occurs during elimination of this structure. - Pochopení apoptotických mechanismů uplatňujících se při utváření tkání a orgánů, jako např. zubů je v centru zájmu také z důvodu klinických aplikací (molekulární stomatologie). Výzkum Fas receptorem zprostředkované apoptózy se zaměřuje zejména na buněčnou smrt v imunitním systému vzhledem k rozsáhlým patologickým následkům dysfunkce. CD 95 signální dráha se však podílí na embryogenezi řady orgánů jako ledvin, plic, trávicího a nervového systému. Tento aktuální přehled shrnuje současné poznatky týkající se uplatnění CD 95 receptorem zprostředkované apoptózy v embryogenezi, především pak při vývoji zubů. Dosavadní výsledky ukazují na pozitivní korelace s výskytem dentální apoptózy, především v primárním sklovinném uzlu. CD 94 deficientní dospělé myši (lpr) však nevykazují žádné morfologické změny dentice. (cs)
