Description
  • The spectroscopic properties of Tm/Yb co-doped silica fibers under excitation at 980 nm are reported. Three distinct up-conversion fluorescence bands (475, 650 and 800 nm) were observed in the visible to near infra-red regions. The fluorescence lifetime of the 3H4 and 3F4 levels of Tm and 2F5/2 level of Yb were studied as a function of Yb concentration, with no significant energy back transfer from Tm to Yb observed.

  • V příspěvku jsou popsány spektroskopické vlastnosti Tm/Yb dopovaného křemenného vlákna při buzení na 980 nm. Byly pozorovány tři různá fluorescenční pásma (475, 650 a 800 nm) ve viditelné a blízké infračervené oblasti. Byly studovány fluorescenční doby života hladin thulia 3H4 a 3F4 a hladiny yterbia 2F5/2 v závislosti na koncentraci Yb, přičemž nebyl pozorován významný zpětný přenos energie z Tm na Yb. (cs)
