  • Recently developed improvements of the 3D numerical model of the spherical particle saltation in the channel with rough bed are introduced. Experimental data were used for calculation of the drag force, drag moment and Magnus force acting on the spherical particle moving translationally with simultaneous rotation in the fluid. The definition of the contact zone was extended for arbitrary value of bed roughness. The numerical calculation of saltation process was carried out and the dependences of the saltation characteristics and particle and flow parameters were presented. The relative particle concentration and the mean values and standard deviations of the deviation angle of the particle trajectory with respect to the downstream direction were calculated for different particle diameter and the flow shear velocity.

  • článek popisuje nově vyvinuté zdokonalení 3D numerického modelu saltace kulovité částice v kanále s drsným dnem. Pro výpočet odporové síly a momentu a Magnusovy síly působící na kulovou částici pohybující se translačně v kapalině se současnou rotací byla použita nová experimentální data. Definice kontaktní zóny byla rozšířena pro kanály s libovolnou drsností dna. Byl proveden výpočet saltačního pohybu částice a stanoveny závislosti mezi charakteristikami saltace a parametry částice a proudu vody v kanále. Relativní koncentrace částic, střední hodnoty a střední kvadratické odchylky deviačního úhlu trajektorie částice vzhledem k ose kanálu byly vypočteny pro různé hodnoty průměru částice a rychlosti proudu v kanále.
