  • Instability-driven (IDF) flow is the transport mechanism influencing substantially the rainfall-runoff transformation and percolation of surface water to the groundwater reservoirs. Detecting and evaluating of IDF in hydrological processes using soil moisture measurement is presented in this study. The IDF caused by infiltrating rainwater was detected in the non-agricultural acid brown soil covering the Labská louka experimental plot in Giant Mts. (Czech Republic). As a detecting device, the soil moisture meter was used. The estimation of soil moisture was based on the high frequency permittivity measurement. IDF can substantially influence the rain-water infiltration. The soil profile can attenuate or amplify the rainfall pulses during their transformation to the outflow below the soil profile. If the soil water content is lower than some threshold value, the rainfall pulses can be suppressed down to zero.

  • Nestabilitou hnané proudění(IDF) představuje transportní mechanismus podstatně ovlivňující transformaci srážkoodtokového procesu a perkolaci povrchové vody k hladině podzemní vody. Předložená studie se zabývá detekcí a hodnocením IDF v hydrologickém procesu při použití měření půdní vlhkosti. IDF způsobené infiltrující vodou bylo identifikováno na nezemědělské hnědé půdě kyselé tvořící půdní pokryv na experimentální lokalitě Labská louka v Krkonoších (Česká republika)při použití vysokofrekvenčního měření permitivity. IDF může podstatně ovlivnit infiltraci dešťové vody. Půdní profil může zeslabit nebo zesílit dešťové pulsy v průběhu jejich transformace na odtok mimo půdní profil. Je-li obsah půdní vody menší než určitá prahová hodnota, dešťové pulsy mohou být utlumeny k nule. (cs)
