  • Míchání roztavených kovů elektromagnetickým polem patří mezi nové technologie umožňující zvýšení kvality produktů z těchto kovů a jejich slitin díky schopnosti odstraňovat z taveniny plynové bublinky, zvyšovat její homogenitu a zabraňovat nárůstu dendritických krystalů během tuhnutí. Článek je zaměřen na numerické modelování tohoto procesu pomocí Navier-Stokesovy rovnice doplněné korektními hraničními podmínkami. Složkové rovnice jsou diskretizovány semi-implicitní Oseen-Crank-Nicholsonovým schématem druhého řádu na %22fully-staggered%22 konečně diferenční síti. (cs)
  • The stirring of molten metals by means of electromagnetic fields is a successful novel technology that has the potential to increase the quality of metal and alloy products by degasification of the melts, improving their homogeneity and preventing the formation of dendritic crystals during solidification. This paper presents a numerical model of this process based on the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations endowed by appropriate free-surface boundary conditions. The equations are discretized by the second-order semi-implicit Oseen-Crank-Nicholson scheme on Fully-staggered finite difference grids.
