Description
  • An extensive Devonian carbonate bioaccumulation in eastern part of the Czech Republic is simply described and visualized. The basic data about area, average thickness, biofacies, architecture and composition of sediments are involved. The Middle Eifelian - Late Frasnian assemblages of platforms and reef-related limestone structures with their Neoproterozoic crystalline basement blocks were originally environed by deep seas and ocean, SE periphery of the Brunnia microcontinent. These platforms drifted toward the NW, from palaeolatitude about 18* to 13* S. Implications of the facies section (picture): Retrogradational onlapping on the slopes prevailed up to the end-Middle Frasnian times when maximum flooding surfaces alternately occurred. After, the prograding onlapping architecture with aggraded clinoforms developed, and subsequently, the forced regression of prograding clinoforms (onshore erosion, later also ravinment on carbonate ramps) formed the uppermost parts.

  • Jednoduše popsány a graficky nastíněny jsou rozsáhlé devonské karbonátové bioakumulace z v. části ČR. Obsažena jsou zde základní data o rozloze, mocnosti, složení a architektuře sedimentů. Vápencové útesy a plošiny vč. nosných bloků neoproterozoického krystalinika byly oblopeny hlubokými moři a oceánem při jv. periferii mikrokontinentu brunnia. Plošiny driftovaly na SZ, ca. od 18 po 13 j. rovnoběžku. Implikace faciálního profilu. Postupné trasgresivní překrývání svahu převažovalo až do pozdních dob středního frasnu kdy se střídavě vyvíjely největší mořské záplavové povrchy. Potom už okraje plošin progradovaly ven do moře, prvně s agradovanými klinoformami a následně s nucenou regresí a klinoformami posouvajícími se ven (spolu s erozí břehů a tvorbou zbrázděných ramp), která formovala vrch komplexu.
