  • We present a weathering mass balance of two small catchments, located within the Čelina-Mokrsko gold district (Central Bohemia) that has never been mined and, which is affected by serious As contamination as a consequence of arsenopyrite weathering. Mechanical and chemical weathering rates of rocks were estimated at 656 kg/ha/year and 172 kg/ha/year at the Mokrsko catchment and 329 kg/ha/year and 45 kg/ha/year at the Čelina catchment, respectively. The weathering rate of arsenopyrite was estimated at 1 210 g/ha/year and 210 g/ha/year during the period of 2003-2004 in the highly As mineralized Mokrsko catchment and less As-mineralized Čelina catchment, respectively. Mass budgets of arsenic in soil of both catchments reveal that As has been accumulated in the soil of the Čelina catchment and depleted in the soil of the Mokrsko catchment during the sampling interval.

  • Představujeme vliv zvětrávaní v hmotnostní bilance dvou povodí na ložiskách Čelina a Mokrsko, které nebyly nikdy těženy a které jsou kontaminovány arzenem díky zvětrávání arzenopyritu. Mechanické zvětrávání horniny v povodí Mokrsko odpovídá 656 kg/ha/rok, chemické zvětrávání 172 kg/ha/rok. V povodí Čelina je mechanické zvětrávání horniny 329 kg/ha/rok a chemické zvětrávání horniny 45 kg/ha/rok. Během monitoringu v období 2003-2004 bylo zjištěno, že zvětrávání arzenopyritu v povodí Mokrsko (oblast silně mineralizovaná As) odpovídá 1210 g/ha/rok a v Čelině (oblast slabě mineralizovaná As) 210 g/ha/rok. Z hmotnostní bilance arzenu v obou povodích rudního zrudnění vyplývá, že se arzen v některých oblastech zrudnění během období monitoringu v půdě akumuluje a jinde ochuzuje. (cs)
