Description	We examinated cardioprotective effect of chronic hypoxia and time course of its recovery under normoxic conditions. The duration of cardioprotection induced by chronic hypoxia differs markedly, depending on the end point of ischemia/reperfusion injury examined. The residual protection on infarct size persisted for at least 35 day of normoxic recovery in contrast to the antiarrhythmic protection which disapppeared already during the first week of normoxic recovery. We examinated cardioprotective effect of chronic hypoxia and time course of its recovery under normoxic conditions. (en) Studie se zabývala otázkou, jak dlouho přetrvává kardioprotektivní účinek chronické hypoxie po ukončení adaptace. Zjistili jsme, že citlivost chronicky hypoxického myokardu k ischemii po návratu do normoxie je odlišná v závislosti na studovaných projevech ischemie. Reziduální kardioprotektivní účinek na velikost infarktu přetrvával ještě po 35 dnech od ukončení adaptace na rozdíl od antiarytmického účinku, který vymizel již v průběhu prvního týdne v normoxii (cs)
