  • Imunitní modulační terapie (IMT) firmy Vasogen je terapie, při které jsou krevní buňky pacienta modifikovány ex vivo pomocí fyzikochemických stresorů zahrnujících oxidaci, UV záření a zvýšenou teplotu. Studie testovala hypotézu, že IMT může zabránit ischemicko-reperfuznímu (I/R) poškození ledvin u potkanů. Aplikace metody u SHR potkanů významně snížila I/R poškození v porovnání se zvířaty u nichž byla podána neupravená krev a nebo fyziologický roztok. To bylo evidentní na zvýšení přežívání u mladých i dospělých SHR potkanů, což korelovalo s 24 hod. diurézou. Naše výsledky ukázaly, že IMT zabrání destrukci ledvinné tkáně a tím sníží úmrtnost na I/R poškození ledvin (cs)

This study tested the hypothesis that IMT can prevent renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats. IMT pretreatment of SHR significantly reduced renal I/R injury compared with equivalent placebo treatments consisting of untreated blood- or saline-injected SHR, as evidenced by a significant increase of the survival rate curves in young and old male SHR, which correlated with 24-hour postischemic diuresis. Our data demonstrate that IMT prevents the destruction of kidney tissue and the resulting animal death caused by renal I/R injury
