  • Akustické osy mohou existovat i pro prostředí s velmi slabou anizotropií a pozorujeme je, pokud se plochy pomalosti vln S1 a S2 dotknou nebo pokud se protínají. Maximální počet izolovaných akustických os ve slabé triklinické anizotropii je 16 obdobně jako pro silnou triklinickou anizotropii. Směry akustických os se počítají řešením dvou polynomiálních rovnic o dvou neznámých. Rovnice jsou šestého stupně pro silnou anizotropii a pátého stupně pro slabou anizotropii. (cs)

The maximum number of isolated acoustic axes in weak triclinic anisotropy is 16 as in strong triclinic anisotropy. The directions of acoustic axes are calculated by solving two coupled polynomial equations in two variables. The order of the equations is 6 under strong anisotropy and reduces to 5 under weak anisotropy.
