| Description
| - Main user group of massive distributed and grid computing in the Czech Republic are particle and nuclear physics research groups collaborating on projects on particle accelerators like TEVATRON or LHC. The Czech Republic took part in grid project DataGrid, takes part in the CERN LCG project, EGEE and GridLab projects. An important part of the grid activities is high quality internal computing network infrastructure maintained by research network provider CESNET. CESNET runs the national grid project MetaCentrum, collaborates on the EGEE project where provides a Certification Authority, takes part in middleware design and redesign activities, runs test bed and production farms and is engaged in user support and dissemination activities. The experience with the grid services in the Czech Republic is well established and the general grid service in the scope of the EGEE project is being prepared. We are looking for other research or commercial branches to become the users of the European grid service.

- Hlavní uživatelskou skupinou masivního distribuovaného počítání a gridového počítání v České republice je skupina výzkumu částicové a nuklerní fyziky. Tato skupina spolupracuje na projektech jako jsou např. TEVATRON nebo LHC. Česká republika byla zapojena v řešení projektu DataGrid a podílí se také na projektech CERN LCG, EGEE a Gridlab. Důležitou částí gridových aktivit je vysoce kvalitní interní síťová infrastruktura podporovaná provozovatelem akademické sítě CESNET. CESNET řídí národní projekt MetaCentrum, spolupracuje na projektu EGEE, kde poskytuje certifikační autoritu a spolupracuje při návrhu middleware, řídí test-bed a produkční farmy a angažuje se v uživatelské podpoře a propagaci. Zkušenosti s provozem gridových služeb jsou v České republice bohaté a v měřítku obecných gridových služeb se připravuje projekt EGEE. Nyní hledáme další výzkumné záměry nebo komerční projekty abychom se stali také uživateli evropských gridových služeb. (cs)
