Description
  • The using of parallel principles is the most effective way how to increase the performance of applications (parallel algorithms). In this sense the paper is devoted to complex performance modelling of parallel algorithm. Therefore the paper describes the developing steps of parallel algorithms and then he summarised the basic concepts for complex performance modelling of parallel algorithms. Current trends in high performance computing (HPC) and grid computing (Grid) are to use networks of workstations (NOW) as a cheaper alternative to traditionally used massively parallel multiprocessors or supercomputers. In such parallel systems workstations are connected through widely used communication networks and cooperate to solve one large problem.
