Description	This article deals with the geographic information system (GIS) for the maintenance of field point of Králický Sněžník locality (Czech Republic). The system was created to support the training in field in the branch of Geodesy and cartography. Thus at recognition the students can identify the points in an easier way which contributes to effective planning and solution of the assigned measuring tasks in field. Besides cartographic data in the form of a base map and an orthophoto of the locality in question even topography of the individual points including their photos with further descriptive attributes in digital form are available. Currently the spot fields in Jedovnice in Blansko region and Nesměř nearby Velké Meziříčí are being processed in this way. All work activities on this system are processed in Application Geomedia Intergraph and ARC/INFO.
