  • A pot experiment with Avena sativa L. was carried out to examine the effect of two levels of cadmium nutrition (2 and 20 mg Cd.kg-1 of soil) with various accompanying mobile anions in the fertiliser (NO3-, Cl- and SO42-) on the cadmium content in the dry matter of leaves, the weight of the oat plants, the chlorophyll content in the leaves, the photosynthesis rate, the stomatal conductivity and transpiration rate. In the variants with the higher intensity of CdCl2 nutrition, a significantly higher cadmium content was identified as compared with the variants for which the nutrition containing Cd(NO3)2 and CdSO4 was used. In the variants with the Cd nutrition, insignificantly higher levels of photosynthesis rate were observed in the measurements in comparison with the zero variant.
