Description
  • Security issues are discussed nowadays at all areas of our day life. Monitoring of objects as well as peoples (does not matter if from good or bad idea) is needed at every place and every time. Problem can be seen only in the large amount of financial costs for hardware devices and needed space for video recording. Our goal is to design and develop a low cost solution for monitoring of various areas (view of camera), which are needed to cover. We use a standard USB camera attached to a PC/laptop via a USB port, or embedded laptop camera to monitor of some space. USB camera has the task of scanning the surroundings and in case of detection of some movements (of people or objects) to begin a recording operation of video stream which can be stored on a local data store. Advantage of such solution is multi camera possibility. Paper also deals with motion detection method description using a differential method. Change of the input video using the grayscale method and other adjustments associated with the elimination of noisy areas and the preparation of imaging to detect (Thresholding-thresholding, Erosion, edge detection) was also used as part of the project was also used. By these minor adjustments it is possible to achieve smaller error rate in detection, what results in filtration of external influences (such as weather changes).
