Description
  • Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) come into the life of each one of us. Nobody can imagine life without them. They also play a very important role in education, where they can make certain areas more effective. One of the now widespread devices is e -learning. The e -learning approach to education ensures time and cost saving, flexibility and huge possibilities in terms of access to educational resources. An important aspect, however, is whether learners with the support of these modern technologies gain better or at least comparable knowledge, compared to traditionally taught graduates. The paper presents results of research, whose aim was to find by pedagogical experiment an influence of teaching management (education by ICT / LMS management versus traditional education with a real teacher) on the acquired knowledge of students and their persistence. Specifically, it will be focused on the knowledge of management. The paper was established within the research project of GACR 406/09/0669 %22Evaluation of the benefits of modern technologies in the process of formation and development of competencies of university students %22, realized at the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Kralove. The results of the experiment carried out, show that the effectiveness of education with the support of e-learning in this area is comparable to the effectiveness of traditional education, students achieve comparable performance. The paper of course also underlines certain drawbacks and limitations.
