Description	The area of ambient intelligence, its applications and technologies, frequently investigated recently in a huge number of projects , is more and more matured to be able of creating an environment that is intelligently helpful to users surrounded by such an environment. Besides helpful application s of ambient intelligence, which are undoubtedly beneficial e.g. in the case of physically handicapped people, or in the senior houses, we may consider them also as being very suitable for intelligent workplaces development. On the other hand, the ambient intelligence technology and approaches bring with them also a big number of new problems, unsolved if not unknown up to now. In the paper we summarize the recent state of the ambient intelligence research in the view of classical scenarios invented by the ISTAG , we present four new scenarios for two application areas, and we bring a couple of remarks related to possible problems that could arise in ambient intelligent environments. (en) Oblasť tzv. ambientnej inteligencie (angl. Ambient Intelligence, čo sa dá voľne preložiť ako všadeprítomná inteligencia, ale používa sa aj názov inteligencia prostredia), je v období posledných cca 10 rokov predmetom intenzívneho výskumu najmä v štátoch Európskej únie. Prvé výsledky v oblasti ambientnej inteligencie sú veľmi sľubné. Rozvíja sa najmä aplikovaný výskum, zameraný na návrh a riešenie inteligentných prostredí napr. pre fyzicky hendikepovaných občanov, alebo pre seniorov. Málo sa však zatiaľ poukazuje na prípadné riziká, ktoré táto technológia a najmä jej možné budúce rozsiahle nasadenie v sebe ukrýva. V tejto kapitole chceme čitateľa uviesť do problematiky ambientnej inteligencie, popíšeme niektoré možnosti aplikácií tejto technológie, ale chceme aj upozorniť na niektoré nebezpečenstvá daného prístupu.
