Description	Investigations carried out on three golf courses in regions with different natural conditions (Kunětická Hora, Rožnov p. Radhoštěm and Slavkov) revealed that permanent grasslands of all areas are of high aesthetic value to the landscape and they serve as an environmental biotope with high biodiversity of plant and animal species (Rožnov, Slavkov). In Kunětická Hora the grassland was established on the fly ash dump site and the grassland provided a basis for secondary colonization of the large park by native plant and animal species. The grassland of the golf courses plays also an important role in the social and educational spheres (employment, young people education), in the sports and tourist industry and also in the advertising industry (increasing the attractiveness of the locality and its surroundings and attracting more visitors). Only the putting green whose area is 10 – 15 % of the whole park is intensively treated with herbicides and cut.
