Description
  • Partial oxidation (POX) is one of the key processes for the industrial production of hydrogen from the heaviest crude oil. Part of the raw material is transformed to %22undesirable%22 soot, even though the reaction conditions are optimal. These soot are separated, granulated and transformed the company Unipetrol RPA for special manufacturing equipment for a successful product – carbon black Chezacarb® which is used not only as a filler in plastics and as a adsorbent. Separation of carbon black of soot water is the main purpose of granulation soot. Soot get into water when cleaning the synthesis gas. The granules in the size of about 2.5 mm with a content of dust is produced during the separation of soot from the water. The wide distribution of the particles prevents this product was used in static adsorbers. Relatively uniform particle size of the granulate was obtained after separation of the fractions under 1 mm. The granules could be used in stationary adsorbers. Tests were carried out on contaminated gas and polluted waters. Shaping is another way of getting sorbet Chezacarb® usable in conventional stationary adsorbers. The advantage is the simple introduction of additives - additives which enhance or even create adsorption capacity towards certain substances to which they are Chezacarb® inactive. Additives were not discharging into the extruded Chezacarb® but also to granulated Chezacarb®.
