  • Meďnaté cheláty odvodené od N-salicylidénaminokyselín svojou charakteristickou štvorcovo-pyramidálnou koordináciou do určitej miery imitujú aktívne centrum prírodného enzýmu Cu,Zn-superoxiddismutázy. U meďnatých komplexov tohoto typu bola zistená rádioprotektívna, antipyretická, antiflogistická i imunoprotektívna aktivita. Študované anionokomplexy vytvárajú mostíkové štruktúry s premostením Cu-NCS-Cu´. Antimikróbna aktivita komplexov bola stanovená štandardnou dilučnou mikrometódou na vybraných kmeňoch mikroorganizmov v 1% roztokoch. Všetky testované komplexy boli antifungálne účinné a vykazovali aj aktivitu proti kmeňu Staphylococcus aureus. U komplexov s N-salicylidén-alfa-aminokyselinami sa prejavil vplyv substituenta na alfa-uhlíku aminokyseliny v klesaní ich antimikróbnej aktivity. Predpokladaným mechanizmom pôsobenia je vznik tzv. polovičného chelátu, podobne ako u oxinátu meďnatého.
  • Copper(II) chelates derived from N-salicylideneamino acids, with their square-pyramidal coordination simulate the active site of the natural antioxidant enzyme - Cu,Zn-superoxidedismuthase. The studied copper(II) complexes were recognized to have the radioprotective, antipyretic, antiphlogistic and imunoprotective activity. These anionic complexes are composed from dimers characterized with bridges Cu-NCS-Cu´. Antimicrobial activity was determined using the standard microdilution method on the selected microorganisms in 1% solutions. All of the tested complexes were antifungal active and effective against Staphylococcus aureus. In the group of the complexes derived from N-salicylidene-alpha-amino acids was the dependence between the alpha-carbon of theamino acid and the loss of MIC found. The mechanism of action of the complexes is proposed to be based on the %22half-chelate%22 mechanism similar to example of copper(II) oxinate. (en)
