Description
Skutečná incidence a prevalence onemocnění není známa zejména v důsledku nízké citlivosti laboratorních metod k diagnostice tohoto onemocnění, vyjma metod PCR. V roce 2006 jsme metodou PCR detekovali M. haemosuis v krvi novorozených selat s malou životností a septikémií. Cílem naší studie proto byla detekce M. haemosuis u novorozených selat a mrtvě narozených plodů. (cs)
  • In comparsion with many others is the etiological agent of porcine eperythrozoonosis or icteroanemia, newly renamed as M. haemosuis, poorly known. Infections occur in USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Brazil, China and South Africa. Beside the manifestation in grower-finisher pigs recognised most frequently, also the infection of neonatal pigs and pregnant sows immediately prepartum was described. The true incidence and prevalence of disease are mostly unknown also due to limited sensitivity of laboratory test with the exception of PCR based diagnostic assay. In 2006 we have detected using PCR M. haemosuis in blood of newborn piglets with low viability after delivery and with septicaemia. Therefore the aim was to detect M. haemosuis in newborn piglets and also in stillborn foetuses.
