| Description
| - Pylorické stenózy u koníjsou vzácné onemocnění. Zde prezentujeme 6 případů pylorických stenóz diagnostikovaných na Klinice chorob koní v Brně v letech 2002-2006. Věkové rozmezí postižených koní bylo od 10 měsíců do 10 let, ve skupině se nacházeli 4 angličtí plnokrevníci a dva teplokrevní koně. Pohlaví bylo zastoupeno třemi klisnami a třemi hřebci. Koně vykazovali různé klinické příznaky - rekurentní nebo akutní koliku, zhoršený příjem krmiva, časté lehání a sníženou výkonnost. Klinické vyšetření prokázalo různé nálezy u jednotlivých koní - zvýšenou srdeční frekvenci, akutní koliku, neochotu k pohybu, akutní průjem ad. Laboratorní výsledky byly v referenčních limitech s výjimkou leukocytózy u jednoho koně a změn v diferenciálním rozpočtu bílých krvinem u jiného. U všech koní byly prokázány pomocí gastroskopického vyšetření změny na skvamózní sliznici žaludku a v oblasti pyloru. Dva koně měli distální esofagitidu. Dudenum bylo endoskopicky vyšetřeno u dvou koní, kde nebyly nalezeny změny. Byla provede (cs)
- Pyloric stenosis is a rare disease in horses. Here we report six cases presented to Equine Clinic Brno in Czech Republic between 2002-2006. The age range of affected horses was from 10 months to 10 years. Four Thoroughbreds and two warm blood horses were included in this study. Three mares and three stallions were presented. Horses showed different clinical signs - recurrent or acute colic, poor appetite, frequent recumbency and poor performance. Physical examination revealed diverse results in each horse ? increased heart rate, acute colic, reluctance to move, acute diarrhea or other nonspecific signs. Laboratory results were normal, except for leucocytosis in one horse and changed differential leucocyte count in another. Results of gastroscopic examination revealed nonglandular ulceration and pathological changes along pylorus in all horses. Two horses showed distal esophagitis. Duodenum was visible and endoscopically unchanged in two horses. Biopsy of pyloric region was taken from three patients
