| - The effect of a starter diet with a 10% of treated rapecake (TRC) with a reduced glucosinolate content on calf performance, growth and health was evaluated. 45 calves were divided into 3 groups. After the colostrum period (5 days) they were fed 4 l of pooled fresh milk per calf/day and one of the starters ad libitum. The control group (S) was fed Standard starter with a standard nutrient content including fibre. Comparative group T was fed Telstar starter with whole maize kernels and protein pellets. Experimental group G was fed Grant starter with 10 % of TRC. The calves were fed hay ad libitum from 10 weeks of age. The average starter consumption (calf/day) over 90 day was 1.34 kg, 1.72 kg and 1.45 kg in the S, T and G groups resp. An insignificantly higher body weight was in the G group at the end. - Hodnocen byl vliv startéru s 10 % upravených řepkových výlisků (TRC) se sníženým obsahem glukosinolátů na růst, vývoj a zdravotní stav telat. 45 telat bylo rozděleno do 3 skupin (sk.). Po kolostrální výživě (5 dnů) dostávala 4 l mléčné krmné směsi denně a starter ad libitum - kontrolní sk. (S) starter Standard se standardním obsahem živin vč. vlákniny, srovnávací sk. T starter Telstar s celými kukuřičnými zrny a proteinovými peletami, experimentální sk. G starter Grant s obsahem 10 % TRC. Seno dostávala od 10 týdnů stáří. Prům. spotřeba v 90ti denním pokusu byla 1,34; 1,72 a 1,45 kg startéru Standard, Telstar a Grant. Nevýznamně vyšší hmotnostní přírůstky byly na konci pokusu u sk. G. Přírůstky u sk. G byly o 4,0 % vyšší a u sk. T o 5,4 % nižší než u sk. S. Nebyly zjištěny signifikantní změny u parametrů dusíkového, energetického, lipidového a minerálního metabolismu, zdravotního stavu, funkce jaterního parenchymu a štítné žlázy.
