| - Enteritis caused by the Clostridium perfringens type A range among the diseases of the newborn pigs with a major economic impact in the Czech Republic. The results based on the antibiotic treatment and on the usage of the commercial vaccines provide contradictory data (1). In the years 2003-2005 the majority of C.perfringens type A isolates with the cpb2 gene for the production of the ß2-toxin was repeatedly established. The causes underlying the spread of the infection are unclear; our hypotheses suppose a relation with the absence of the previously used antibiotic growth promoters, and a possible fall in sensitivity, alternatively an acquired resistance of the virulent isolates to the antibiotics frequently used in therapy in pig herds. The aim of the study was to establish the MIC values of selected antibiotics (tylosin and tiamulin) and to prove the relation between high antibiotic pressure and the emergence of antibioresistance in the cpb2+ C.perfringens type A isolates.

- Enteritidy způsobené Clostridium perfringens typu A patří mezi ekonomicky nejzávažnější onemocnění sajících selat v ČR. Příčiny šíření infekce jsou nejasné. Málo je známo o získané rezistenci kmenů produkujících nedávno objevený beta 2 toxin. Jednou z možností šíření je snížená citlivost, případně rezistence virulentních izolátů na antibiotika používaná velmi často k medikaci v chovech prasat (tylosin, tiamulin). V předchozích letech jsme na našem území opakovaně potvrdili převahu izolátů C.perfringens toxinotypu A nad izoláty toxinotypu C. Proto se zaměříme na studium izolátů vyznačujících se genotypem cpb1-/cpb2, kde jsme stanovili hodnoty MIC tylosinu a tiamulinu. Studie měla prokázat souvislost mezi vysokým antibiotickým tlakem a vznikem antibiorezistence u izolátů C.perfringens toxinotypu A cpb2+ v České republice (cs)
