Description	The aim of presented work was studying of various systems of welfare assessment from the point of their advantages and disadvantages and on the base of this study creation of the system of evaluatin the farm animal welfare from the point of physical and mental health, behaviour and management system. To present day there have been developed several methods for assessing the farm animal welfare and the impact of farm type and technological systems on the level of welfare. Each of the methods is based on the interpretation of different parametres and makes correlation between them. A welfare assessment methods basically include two different types of measures: enviromentally based measures (description of the housing system and management) and animal based measures (different recording of behaviour, health and production as a measure of how the animal react to the system). Multifactorial actions of the factors, which play the role in the level of the farm animar welfare, require system approach.
