Description	Apple fruit of the cultivars-Golden Delicious- and -Idared- picked at 7 day intervals at the preclimacteric, at the beginning climacteric and at the advanced climacteric ripening stage, were stored in different storage atmospheres for 7 1/2 months at 1 arespectively. After removal from the store, their ethylene production was analyzed. The post-storage period extended up to 191 to 262 hours. The results of single fruit analyses showed at first a period of a steeply sigmoid increasing ethylene production curve, followed by a senescence-caused drop of the production rate. (en) Äpfel der Sorte Golden Delicious und Idared die im Abstand von 7 Tagen im präklimakterischen, im beginnenden klimakterischen und im fortgeschrittenen klimakterischen Reifestadium gepflückt und 7,5 Monate bei 1 bzw. 4 oC mit unterschiedlicher Zusammensetzug der Lageratmosphäre aufbewahrt wurden, sin auf ihr Ethylenbildungsvermögen nach der Entnahme aus dem Lager analysiert worden. Die Nachlagerdauer erstreckte sich über 192 bis 264 h. Die in Einzelfruchtanalyse ermittelten Messwerte zeigten zunächst den Abschnitt eines steilen, s-förmigen Aufbaues und anschliessend einen seneszenzbedingten Rückgang der Ethylenbildungsraten.
